Are murphy & napa synonomus??????????
Got my tie rod ends & sleeves today, yep 3 right hand, 1 left & two different sleeves, the thin one matches the ones on the 74, the beefier one matches the ones on the 73, same part #'s go figger!
The 3rd right was in a box marked L but the package inside had the R , packer dislexic maybe?

Got the lower valence (kinda) in, we have eyes now, no brace on the dr side of valence & it's tweeked a bit so the insert keeps pushing back on that side, I think I can make a brace from the rad support to the insert to keep it in place? anyway started another round of sanding on the pass door & quarter, most runs are out now, wanna get em all out before I do any touchups, I may create more to do! Rich.

Took the 'Cuda for a 40' ride today, put it on the driveway so I could get out of the mud, I also moved some of my phony turf to where she'll be parked till I get the drainage pipe done.
Got almost everyting on the exterior buffed out, pass side from body line down needs the second swirl remover job & wax, still have to deal with all the seams, the door jambs & such ,but it's lookin much better!  :cooldancing: Rich.

Was having a lot of trouble getting the swirl marks out with the buffer, so I got an orbital waxer, best 24 bucks I ever spent on the car, I LOVE this thing used it & maquires swirl remover then yellow wax, mind you I still have scratches & the other defects to touch up, but this got out most of the swirls & some of the lighter scratches!

This is the area I'm most proud of, only some tiny defects & runs on the edges of which I got most out, but the roof took the least work & came out the best! ;)

Shot that argent like paint on the grille, even sprinkling salt on was too gritty, but I was loosing the grit on the other spots under the paint anyway, my bad spots still show, but it's all silver now . had to paint the black too, dipchit got white overspray all over it when he whited out the old bay
Someday I'll get the right paint Rich

Wasted most of the day lookin for stuff & then cleaning it up, really wanted to finish up the front end, but no way, I did manage to get the bumper brackets on & test fit the grille, still a lot of shop time to get the bumper & guards ready , I think I finally located all the hardware needed(I hope)

Did my best to clean up the old front bumper, not as bad as the rear was but pretty shabby, my ebay guards will out shine em by a ton. Finished sanding the dings out of the rubber & got em clear coated, by far the best chrome on this car!

Put in my new liscense light socket & soldered up some splices in the trunk , almost done in there, think I might be missing the rear jack bracket all I have is the one on the wheel well & the little spring loop. I need one more 1 3/4" plug for the shock hole & bout 10 hours of cleaning! :faint:
Might have to pull out the front & rear glass, the PRO who assured me his way was better than the old way set the glass too hi, barley catching the clips & it's buckling in the corners. Gotta put a call in to him & see if he'll rectify the problem, some how I doubt he'll ever be seen by me again, then the bad press will start, 1 unhappy customer here & I will get the word out!
So as before, a baby step foward & 3 giant steps back :pullinghair: Rich.

looks like you will need the thinner of the 2 window ribbon's the fat one is 3/8" i believe, and the other is 5/16"

someone correct me if im wrong.  :dunno:

If you dont use the window guy, just heat up a putty knife with a torch from inside and keep working aroundthe eindow till you're done, is a cryin' shame that you paid the guy for nothin'  :walkaway:

So been dicking around in the garage for weeks, not getting much of anything done.
Ordered the grille hardware bout 2 weeks ago & still no response from rt specialtie on shipping so I dug thru 40 more bags of old hardware & went ahead & put the grile in.
managed to crack it way in the back by passenger headlight, forgot to tap out the 2 nuts on the header & could not get the grille back out, well once it cracked I decided not to even try, tapped out the nuts with it on & just scratched the edge of the top piece, maybe too cold for this but I got tired of waiting!  :dupe:
