I had it written down somewhere but can't find it, I'll check it out tomorrow when I get home from work, gotta start detailing the car for the appraisal, gotta get everything as good as it gets for it's first showing & probably it's most important (if I 'm gonna get a decent appraisal value for insurance)
I know the rears are the same size as was on the alum slots, but the rims are not as wide so I have about a finger more clearence to the rear  wheel well, fronts are a tad bigger than the slots, but it gives the car a nice stance & i wont worry bout rubbin the rears!

tire sizes, out back they are P275/60R15 & up front P275/70R15 I don't know the rim sizes tires were mounted when I got them, but I was able to remove the spacer that was on the fronts with the slots.
K, finished waxing the car tonight, touched up a couple spots on the headers & a few bolts that showed some rust, put the radio back in so there wasn't a big hole in the dash, double work I have to send it out for repair, but it looks good in there!
gotta get all the glass cleaned up again, side glass is pretty marred up , but nothin in the budget for that yet!
Gonna go nuts waiting till sat for the appraisal, I NEED TO KNOW!    Rich.

:bananasmi Got the appraisal report today, way better than I could have dreamed, might actually end up costing me money, ins at 20K was pretty stiff, gotta see how much it goes up if we use the appraised value,

of

errrr

of

well spit it out already,

offfffffffffffffffffffff

32,800.00

Now I'm pretty sure thats high, but with around 25K in it it does at least make me feel better   :naughty:  even if it would never fetch such a price!  ;)  Rich.

Looks Mighty Fine.  :bigshades:  As to the ins. does seem a bit high but the cost per thou. isn't that bad. It's the initial liability that makes the lions share, at least in my state.

All righty, I'm gettin there another 10 years & i may actually drive this car.
Made the switch on the insurance today, starts on the 26th , now I have to send out for the QQ plates, another few weeks wait there, but the good news is I can park it for the winter & drop liability & have full comprehensive for 27bucks for 6 months, so the car is covered while stored & it brings the cost down to bout 400 a year, I insured it for 25K , thats about what I have in it,but still hopefully nothing drastic happens I really don't wanna collect............. well yet that is! Rich.

How did the "garaged" requirement work out?

I ended up with an appraised(& agreed) value which will be stated on the policy at all state, regular insurance so no garage required. can drive it anywhere anytime, it's just another car on my policy! Costly but till I retire & get the business out of the garage I'm stuck with it, even then I may have the other car done & still be short one garage! :eek4: Rich.

Take it out for some gas & a few runs around the hood this weekend, get it in for wheel alignment lube job & safty inspection next week, then I'll gradually start ranging further from the home base, see what falls out along the way    :22yikes:   Rich.

Got home early enouigh to put the plates on & take her around the block for some gas, the good news is I made it, put in half a tank, no leaks so far, the bad news is couple a nasty noises, one I think is the speedo cable, whines pretty good at 15 or so & jumps around at 20, never chanced going any faster with the other more ominous noise, a pretty serious groan out back, suspecting something in the rear end.

Shes going in for service on wed, see how low the gear lube is, I know I lost some , hoping thats it, but I doubt it. Gonna be a long wait till then! Rich.

dcided to play around a bit more, checked the lube & it should be ok till wed. It's maybe a 1/2" low.
Re-checked my axels & the drivers side was sloppy, reset those & that seemed to eliminate the groan, tried to tighten the speedo cable, just spins & won't get tight, I'll get a new cable for that, the one noise that troubles me thats left is a pretty good clunk as I take off(after it's moving) almost like a sproket missing a tooth if that gives you a mental pic. Not the "normal reverse to drive clunk or visa versa, but after I'm going a little.
Took it out a little further on a road I could do 40-45, cept for the speedo noise it seems fine, but that is loud & may be covering up others  :dunno: Rich
Anyway here she is out of captivity!

& over at my friends house a few blocks away!

Looks great.........Nice shine too..................There will always be noises that you will not find.   I had a squeek under my hood and found the windshield washer nozzel was rubbing the top of the cowl.........The only way I found that was  a rub spot..........
