& after 3 mixes, (it ate up a lot more k36 than I thought it would) I finally finished the 3 coats of hi build, waiting on the small compressor to catch up slowed down the job quite a bit, but by the time the good one is back it will probably be too cold to shoot anymore! frustrating but DONE!

Started the blockin, pass door(the rotted one) is actually pretty good on the outside!  the drivers door on the other hand had a ton of dings, I'm surprised I got as much out as I did with the pins & the primer, these shouldn't take too much putty at all!  ;D

Not a lot done this week, a bit cold & I actually had a little bit of real work, got some of the putty work done, if I can get the garage warm enough hope to shoot the next round a primer today. Rich.

Wow! That's some great progress you've been posting (not-so)RustyCuda! When did you start bringing this beauty back to life?
And how is it that I've been missing out on this thread all along? Maybe we need a section dedicated to just project updates?

This is so inspiring I'm going out to get my car prepped for new metal!  ;D (it's my New Years resolution anyways - spend more time with the Challenger).

Well it's been about 3 years now, hopefully start putin it back together sometime this year, still a lot of small stuff to test, clean up & get ready & a ton of stuff to buy, hopefully  within 2 years it will at least be driveable!
So on with the work, got a couple more coats a prime on , guide coated & sanded out!

Managed to get the back of the doors ready to prime & the trunk lid sanded out(again) but too cold to shoot paint, so i decided to play with my old rusty headers, one I had previously wirewheeled a lot of the crud off, the other(on the right) I just knocked off the loose rust & degreased, not much difference, wonder which will stick better & last longer???
they are beat up, but will do the duty for a while!
oh yea as usual the pics make em look pretty nice, there not! :( Rich.

Well you have enough distance to make my whole car look great!  ;D
So the mess ups continue, wasted another 30 or so bucks worth a paint today, trunk lid peeled up in a few spots as did the back of the doors, skins started out great(base coat) then the chit started to fly!
