K, so things are going pretty good, so I made em a little harder for myself, just to keep things on an even par! :banghead:
looking at the old trunk floor seal I thought I needed a metal flange, so I traced out what was left & proceded to fab one up, painted that & went out & got the tank ready, sender & grommet went in without incident  :clapping: got the tank in place with a little help from charger man & slid my flange & the seal over the filler tube & got the tube into the tank & screwed to the tail panel, go to screw down the flange & seal & there'a a gap , so I had it front to back, procede to turn the pieces around in place(no easy task)scratched up my new paint in the process but the rubber seems awful stiff, looking at it real close seems there's a metal stiffiner right in it, now did I need a flange, or did what I had left actually come out of the old rubber :dunno: anyway I was not about to take it all apart again, so in went the screws & my "custom" trunk seal is in place! Rich.

Threw out 4(empty :naughty:) boxes, a big dent was put in the inventory over the last few days! :grinyes: wish I had a little more money right now, this baby could be runnin in a month or so, maybe if I land a fat contract, other wise I'll keep pluggin away with what I have!  ;) Rich

That pic of your recently organized garage has inspired me.  I'm becoming the squirrel who forgot where he buried his nuts!  Spending way to much time walking through the maze and trying to find stuff. Guess I knowwhat I'm gonna be doing this weekend.  After a weekend of grinding off undercoating, another cleaning off the bottom and painting the frame and two evenings applying new undercoating, I'm ready to do something on my feet.

Thats pretty much why I did it, way too much time hunting for parts :screwy: over three-ish years of cleaning, refinishing, moving stuff around, the stuff was all mixed up :clueless: one thing I noticed, I wrote way too small I gotta get real close to read the lists  :bigshades: but as long as I work quick, I have a general idea where everything is, but being as old as I am that won't last long!  :dunno: Rich.
didn't get much done today, a couple of hours cleaning off the benches, got a couple a jobs booked so gotta get back in work mode.
Shot a couple more headlight benzels, tried to no avail to get the "flapper" workin on a trunk lock, finally gave up on that stupid little spring, I'll buy a new one some day!
Tried an experiment with some flat black & clear to see if I could come close to the tail panel color, looks pretty good might try it on the panel(I can always sand it off again???) but than I can put in the taillights & complete the inside of the trunk.
tomorrows supposed to be nice, so if I finish up work early I may try that!  ;) Rich

That's looking great Rich! What's left? What are you needing yet? Can't wait to see when you say "It's Alive! It's Aliiiivvvve!"   :2thumbs:  Like Rev said, we'll all celebrate when that time comes.

Main things left to get it "running" are fuel lines, wiring, carb rebuild, alt & starter. to get it "finished" I have a long way to go, entire interior & that wiring. all new brakes, only the lines are in, gotta buy rotors, drums, pads, master cyl. etc,Radiator trans cooler & plumbing from factory lines out to that all belts & hoses, rebuild heater box, a lot of new weather stripping, all the trim, refinish the grille, etc, etc, then I have to align all the body panels & tuch up all my messes , paint the backup hood then clear the whole car, I'm sure I missed a few Main points, but closer than before, but now(correction NOT) within a stones throw! Rich.

K, Back on the dash again, got the new speaker in, painted the "green" cover, flat blacked the radio & heater benzels(don't look too bad?) touched up the silver trim & letters & reassembled the heater control, installed the radio & changed all the light bulbs, I think it's ready to go in  :clueless:

Anything I should do before that, heater box isn't ready, dont wanna put the firewall pad on till after winter tarp is removed next spring(rodents? )  I do have the brake pedal & gas pedals in & the drivers side vent, other than that shes bare, just want to make sure all can be done later without removing the dash? Thanks ,Rich.

Just before the last pic I got some armour all on the flat black, tried to wipe it off, no way had to do both benzels, they actually match the dash better that way! :dunno:
Well the dash itself is pretty much wired, as for the chop job thats hanging there OMG! :pullinghair: Thats a job for another day, or two or three! :bricks1:

Got a few hours in today, never enough time, was hopin to put in the dash too, but by the time I chased all the nuts & bolts & fought with the steering column, I only managed to get the column  & the e brake assembly in!  :hyper:
