K, now I have 2 studs at the top of the column mount bracket , anyone know what goes here, looks like a nasty place to try & work once the dash is in, well at that, anything else that i should do up front there before the dash goes in? thanks, Rich.

I just took a look at mine (pad off but the metal dash framework is still in place); I've got two shiny studs coming out with sealing foam between the column bracket and the metal behind it tight around the studs, but nothing attached to them.

I can't tell where the other side of the stud is (in case its a bolt coming in from the plenum), sorry.

Looking good Rich, as far as the studs go, the only thing I can think of that has studs up in that area is the wiper arm bracket. I guess it could be for the support bracing rods for the steering if you haven't installed those yet. The only other ones are the vent studs that I can recall.

OK, the vent is in, it hangs off the bottom, so the braces would make sense, only thing is that I have none! don't think there were any there when I took it apart, I'll go back throuh my pics to double check(if I shot that area) how important would these pieces be? Thanks again, Rich.

Excuse my lousy "art work" but maybe from the two studs on the cowl to the bolts on the bracket?
I did get a chane to go through my pics & nothing of anything mounted there, just the studs. Rich.
