6.1 Hemi Crate Motors
« on: January 04, 2010 - 10:54:12 AM »
Does anyone know where I can buy a new 6.1 hemi EFI Engine Complete? I can't seem to find any with computer and harness. Any information on this would be great. I'm new at this new gen hemi stuff.

Thanks

Hello,

You will likely have to go with a seperate source for the harness to run a crated 6.1. You should check the LX Forums for great info and connections. If you don't mind getting a good low mileage 6.1, I would check out Cleveland Pick-A-Part. They dismantle lots of SRT LXs and usually sell the engine/tranny/harnesses as a set. This would likely save you loads over a 'component' set-up.

Good luck!

Here is the complete factory Mopar fuel injected one. Try www.rosevillemoparts.com as they are a site sponsor, but I didn't find any crate motors on their site. Probably need to call. Plenty other places sell them as well, depending on what you want and want to spend.

www.xvmotorsports.com sells higher horspower versions.
www.shophemi.com for Arrington Nascar quality motors
www.hotrodlane.cc for stock ecm based setups

Factory used motor, trans, and wiring are going for under $6K on ebay now.
The factory ECM is much harder to retrofit, even more so than the 5.7 stuff.
