« on: January 04, 2010 - 05:52:13 PM »
HI GUYS,
Just been reading the post about the "SONIC CUDA" which reminded me of a car with a 70's paint job which was at

the same car show as me earlier last year !   We both got in the judges choice parade and i have found a video of it on

YOUTUBE.    Check it out.....................just click on the link                                    :2thumbs:

There's a bit of a story behind the trans-am with the seventies paint job !

The guy who now owns it says that it was in a car museum here in the uk, and due to the
recession the museum was closing down and selling off all the cars they had.
He bought it from them at a bargain price, serviced it and started taking it to shows !
When you get close up to it the paint is all metalflake and somebody worked hard on it.

If i see him again at a show this year,i am going to get the "full story" of the car.

Yes Brad,
There is actually quite a few General Lee cars over here and nearly as many
starsky and hutch torino's  too !

The other car that actually has its own club over here is the " Knightrider car"   :grinyes:

You know, looking at your 70 challenger racecar photo, i really wish they would run a

trans-am race series here with all the 70's  camaro, dodge, cuda, mustang race cars,

now that would be AWESOME !      :bananasmi

Nice video cudaneil :2thumbs: Would love to get to Tatton some day,but having to work till 1.00pm every Sunday plus 1 hour drive means I would be arriving when everyone else is thinking of leaving.Same goes for the Krispy Kreme meet.Regarding the custom painted Trans Am,saw it advertised in "Classic American" when it was sold by a museum in the lake district.

Hi Guys,
The nags head meet is a good one and you get lots of different cars there!

But due to work commitments i cant get there very often.  I notice at one meet there was a red 71 cuda.............never seen that before, will have to look out for him and have a chat.
Look after that 67 barracuda RHD,  its rare !           :2thumbs:
