thanks!  I agree that these ones are too far back which is why CP found a guy to make the custom mounts so they sit only about 3" from the front of the hood.

DAYTONA was the first I know of that put hood pins on his car. I would maybe contact him and see what he did. His looked like good placement as far as I remember also.

Hard to tell how far back the pins are but I remember them looking about right in other pics.

The stripes are on and they are exactly the look that I was after.  I went with the plain flat black.  Up until today I had been planning on having the door handles taken out and painted flat black as well, now I'm not so sure that black door handles are the way to go.

One step closer to being ready once spring gets here!  Still waiting on the mounting brackets to get the hood pins on.  I'm hoping they will be done soon.

Wow, I must say that looks really COOL!  We're starting see many around L.A. but nobody is doing anything custom.  I love the wing and side graphics, and the hood pins will be a real statement to the past.  Leave the door handles exactly as is!!!

thanks for all your great comments!

I have decided that I will leave the door handles white - I guess I like how they stand out in the black stripe.

I like your choice. I have a similar stripe on my doors and I like the contrast of body color and black.
