my 3rd car was a 70 U code 440 4 spd Chall R/T
I was talked into selling it & it broke my heart watching it drive away , I never cared about the $$ i got for it , I immediatly replaced it with the Chall R/T I now have & even though I have been offered stupid $$ for it I always remember the feeling I have when I sold the first one , this chall will be with me until I die or simply cannot own it any longer , it will be the last possession I will let go of

I still own my favorite -- The Beast.  I regret selling my next two favs a lot.  My first favoriet was a numbers matching '68 Hemi Runner. Yellow, auto on the column, bench seat.  I had the motor warmed up to a touch over 600 ponies back in the day.  I traded it for a '65 A-990 Dodge Coronet Hemi Racecar.  Raced it for 3-1/2 seasons and sold it. I had a blast with both of those Hemi cars and I wish I still had them.

As of now, there are no plans to sell the Beast. I have always liked/owned the Hemi cars, and this one fits me pretty well right now. I might consider a trade for the right E or B body Hemi car though.....    :2thumbs:

Great thread....

I regret having to sell my 71 Datsun 240 Z. That thing was a blast to drive!
Loved working on it and tuning the triple carburetors. That's my thing.
It sounded like an airplane at hi RPM. INcredible car.  :crying:

Here's a shot of my old ride.

I also regret selling my old lifted Cherokee Sport for a $%^&* Commander.
Man, did I despise that thing after a while...

Well, having sold the Z, I bought 2 Challengers, then sold the parts car locally, and fixed the basket case car.
The others, not so much. Good riddance!!!!!!!!!!

Oh Yes, for me it was my 1967 GTX I bought right out of High School in June of 1973. I street raced it for a few years then putit on the strip for a few more and then back to the street and sold it back to the guy I bought it from in 1980.
Where are you from-I noticed the article was in the Charleston SC paper ??

I guess I'm one of the fortunate members who is still too young to have ever sold off/traded a car I wished I hadn't...I know I've had the impulse to put my '73 project up for sale several times, but each time I somehow talk myself out of it.  I guess I could see myself liquidating it, but only if I was extremely strapped for cash.

Out of all of the  Mopars I have owned (well over 50), I really only regret selling 2 of them.  One is the 71 Challenger convertible shown in my avatar.   The main reason I sold it was to put the $$ into a business that failed miserably.  My gut was telling me not to do it but greed got in he way.  The other one I regret selling was a white AAR that I had for a little while about 15 years ago.  Bought it to fix up and sell. Followed that plan and sold it but I've always regretted not keeping it.

My cuda was parked in the garage for twenty some years. At one point it felt like I would never get it back on the road so I put it up for sale. One guy was going to buy it for $5,000.00 but he never came back with the cash and I luckily held on to it.   :faint:   Now being restored.  I have a built 440 sitting in the garage also.  I found a 70 challenger SE with a 383-2 barrel for 300.00 that I bought to make a drag car out of.  After sitting for about 4 years with nothing getting done I needed the spot to put a tent trailer on so I sold it for 900.00  Had been out of working on cars for some time and had no clue to how valuable they had become.  Thought I had done great by trippleing my money.     :dupe:

I do most but not all of them. The worst decision I ever made, selling related, was a 69 Road Runner. I sold it in '75 for $125.00 and watched the guy drive it 100 miles to it's new home. The latest one was selling my 68 Road Runner this spring. Although it made room for the 09 R/T Challenger, which takes some sting out of it.

I just remembered my coudin did out do me. Around the same time he had a PCP 4 Spd AAR Cuda. One Saturday night he traded it for $100.00 and a Datsun pickup. I cannot top that one. He still shakes his head to this day!

I regret selling a 1968 Dodge Charger R/T, 440 Auto, AM 8-Track, Power Windows, Rear Window Defoster, Power Disc Brakes, B5 Blue with White Vinyl Top and WhiteTail Stripe.  I sold it because I was going in the Navy.
