I've seen a lot of info about that "Scat Pack" decal.  I've never seen one actually installed.  Some people have said it goes on the window and that book kissalien has says rear quarter panel.  Does anyone have any pics of a car with the decal on it?  I have an A66 with original paint (I think) :clueless:, but I don't see anywhere that the decal would have been.

Check the parts book & collision parts manuals if you have them?

 I do & have, new part for 1971.  :2cents:

I'm reasonable sure that my car has the original hood and it had the call-outs at one time. Not sure if I'm missing something Barry.

Barry,

To clarify, are you saying that my 70 A66 wouldn't of had 340 hood call outs on it when new?  :clueless:

If you check the link I posted, you can see the scans I mentioned.

A few of us have dug way into the parts books including different revisions & superceded numbers.

The first part number that shows up for a 340 hood emblem on the Challengers is for the 1971 model year.

No part number at all shows up for the 340 hood stickers mentioned in the other thread at all.

If anyone has anything that mentions a part number for either one for the 1970 model year in a factory book or document, believe me, I would love to see it.

I see. I read the Moparts thread, and your stating that the emblems or stickers are not in the 70 parts manual but the emblems came on the cars from the factory but there is no proof of the stickers coming on any cars.

I think I got it.

Well, close.

I can not say if the emblems (or stickers) came on the cars in '70.

What I am saying, is that if either of them did, there should be a record of the part number.

No one has found that bit of information yet - if it exists?

I do encourage everyone took look, I have exhausted my resources & a few friends resources as well.   :dunno:

That'll buff out. Here's my A66 car, unfortunately no engine or transmission, but it is a plum crazy 4 speed car, so it must be saved.

Yeah when I brought it home a friend of mine laughed at me and told me it'll buff out. Currently the front frame rails and what was left of the inner fenders has been removed and I am preparing a new front clip for install, and have been collecting parts, like front end sheet metal.
