Ah, I missed that.  So where are the bulkhead connections for these two located?

Oh, and I've finished with the vacuum switch.  Smooth as silk operation now but still the same issue with the fan (of course).   ;)

The blue wire heads to the #3 position of the bulkhead connector which is the 10 o'clock position (from the engine side) of the the bottom 4-wire connector (under the wiper plug). The green blower wire in the engine compartment comes from #4 which is in the 7 o'clock position on that same plug.  As you noted on an earlier post, the light green wire (C1C-16LGN on the diagram) is coming from a tan ACC plug under the dash.
I don't see how these wires could get switched.
Just wondering: if you disconnect the three-wire resistor plug under the glove box, does the fan still run?

I pull those 2 wires off my bulhead connectors because it separates the A\C harness from the main/heater harness. If you bought a new harness, you probably got it from that other place that I've had to fix brand new harnesses from.  It would probably be easier for you to pull the 2 male pins in the engine side harness and switch them.  It is the small connector at the lower left side that has your reverse light circuit next to it.  Look for the green and blue wires.

Ok, guys!  The wires were switched at the connector at the firewall.  Works like a champ now!  Thanks for all the help!  You guys are awesome!   :worshippy

GREAT!  Glad to help out.    Now, if I would just stop thinking, get off the computer, and work more on my car as much as I used to. I'll get to drive it someday.

What's next on the problem list?

Well, since you asked, it seems that the vacuum portion of the switch isn't working.  I'm only getting air from the dash vents.  When switched to heat or defrost modes, it doesn't route the air to the floor or defrost vents.  Where should I start?

Have to start with the main vacuum line from the manifold. Are you getting suction to one of those hoses, when unplugged from the switch and engine running? If not, follow the hose that comes from the manifold, through the firewall by the fan motor, then over to the switch connector and find out why you aren't getting any vacuum there.
