Thanks for the heads up on this deal.  I've been running the original small block bars on my car so I'm overdue for an upgrade.

Mine came today via Fedex ground.

Look good...they look to be plain metal so I degreaed and painted with black epoxy.

Wow! Mine didn't even ship until yesterday! A-body vs E-body maybe? Still, with an eBay listing you'd think they'd have them ready to go...

Plain might be nice actually, I know I had to remove the powercoating from the ends of my FFI bars to get them to slide into the LCA. That way you can leave the hex's plain and just paint the shafts, the hex's should be well greased anyway...

No kidding!  Mine just shipped yesterday also and I did the buy it now just before starting this thread.
No big hurry for me as my car will be sitting in storage for at least another month or two.

Fedex just delivered mine about an hour ago. Figure I will clean em up and paint em red or maybe orange. Haven.t decided on the color i'm going to paint all the suspension components.

They ship plain....its kind of a grainy/silverish looking metal. Actually looked nice (to me) but I figured they would start to rust at some point so I decided to take advantage of the decent weather today and paint them.

I surprised myself at how quickly I made the decision...LOL

At first I was thinking of going with a color....but then cheaped out.   :money:

Plus, I have had good experience with the rustoleum black appliance epoxy.  It may be too shiny as far as being "correct"....but thats ok with me.  It looks sweet so far.  Hope I don't mess the paint job up when I put all this stuff back together...LOL

Looks like I'll be getting a set, too... next paycheck that isn't sucked into the bill vortex...  I can't afford the ones I really want, but they're definitely better than what I have, especially if I'm going to tackle Lime Rock this year...

I got mine yesterday! Good looking bars for sure. FYI, Just Suspension now has the $159 price on their website too, not just eBay.

:iagree: I have the 1" bars and the stock boots go right over with no problems!

Just a little tip for installing the boot.....I bought the stock style boot and I first lubed it a bit with some KY Jelly.  9Ok , lets keep the jokes clean..LOL)

That really helped it slide over the hex end.

I installed the driver side bar today....The bar seemed to go in real easy.........I just lowered the LCA all the way down, inserted the bar from the back of the car and slid it through....raised the LCA "just a hair" to  allow the front of the bar to slide in.

Easy as pie.

I came to this thread again wondering if going to the 1" will mean any issues with the adjuster and getting a good height.....My car was low in the front to start (saggy small TBs) and my rear end is up a bit.....so hopefully the front height will be "just right", assuming I "clocked" the bar right......?

With 1" bars you shouldn't have any problems. I was unable to get my car below stock height with my 1.12" bars, but they've got a rate that's roughly 100 lbs higher than 1" bars. I bought 2" drop spindles and no longer have the adjusters all the way out, so I gained a little less than 2" of ride height with the 1.12" bars. And based on your description of your installation your bars should be installed just fine. My guess would be that you're going to have a lot more of that adjuster bolt showing, but it shouldn't be a problem. Also, you'll probably notice that small changes on the adjuster will now have a bigger effect on the ride height than before, since the new bars will have less sag as well as the higher rate.
