This is harder than it sounds.
I can hit my top four with pretty solid confidence, but number five is hard to commit to.  To many awesome cars out there.

1. Ascari A10
2. McClaren F1
3. Aston Martin Vanquish
4. 1971 Hemi Cuda

5. Lamborghini Countach lp500 (I like the Diablo, but the Countach has a special place in my heart), Ford GT40, 1966 Shelby Cobra 427 S/C, Jake and Elwood's 1974 Dodge Monaco, the list can go on.

Ok, I'll reply like sprecks with the affordable list, but using some of my favorite search terms when I'm on craigslist...

1-Shelby Cobra (kit car)
2-Trans Am, usally 79-81, some 70-74 stuff
3- kit cars (Cobra, Porsche 356...)
4- Chevy Monza Mirage/IMSA widebody (See pic)
5- '71-'72 Charger/Road Runner

Wow! I haven't seen one of those monza's in a long time. Remember the Monza Spider that had a 305 V8?  The IMSA car I think is a Dekon Monza. Ken Epsman has got a red one he races.
John Moorman
1971 Challenger R/T 383 4 speed (waiting it's turn)
1973 Challenger Rallye 340 4 speed (undergoing full resto)
2003 Dodge SRT-4 Stage 3 turbo daily driver-been as fast as 11.97et
1995 Dodge Neon Sport Coupe DOHC 5 speed Nitro-yellow-green (one of 527 built)

There was a Monza Mirage on craigslist several months ago in nice shape with a 355ci engine and high gearing.  Looked nice, rare car, wish I could've got it.  Here's a pic of it.

1972 Dodge Challenger Rallye 340, AT, Code TB3=Super Blue, SBD=8/17/1971.  Yes, a Rallye without the fender louvers from the factory because of the body side molding option.

I remember those monzas very well, but they were junk. Chevy had a boy racer model that had a huge spider graphic on the hood, a la the firebird hoods. Friend of mine had a black one with gold graphics if I remember correctly. I think what set them apart was the fact they were available with v-8s, which made them potentially very quick.

"Potentially" being the operative word. Still a good starting point for a hotrod, back then. And I thought that my bigblock A-body was tight! Here's my list, subject to change, and in no particular order: 1. Superbird (prefer Hemi, but not picky) 2. Ford GT-40 (again, prefer 427, but wouldn't turn out a smallblock) 3. 1971 Hemicuda 4. DeTomaso Pantera GT-5 5. My own, lowly hotrod, the first Supercuda
