That is a noble effort keeping what looks like a pretty much original car there. Like the 318/4 combo. If this car sold for 12000 it would still cost $55K to get it right and back on the road. Someone said it right - you cannot buy chassis rails so that would be a giant task repairing those.  You can buy all the floor panels and outside stuff and it is way less expensive to replace than repair. What is the original colour?

You can buy frame rails.  I have 2 rears and 1 front I saved from a parts car.  I am sure I am not the only 1 that has saved extras.  The car is a major project, but can be done by someone who wants to do it.  I agree it would be very expensive to have done by a shop.  This is a car that would be good to be done by someone who had the knowledge to do it and was doing the car to keep for themselves.

Just an update on this car - it's SOLD. As far as I know I don't believe the buyer is a member here (he saw the car in MCG). Other than that I shouldn't give out any details of the sale since the car wasn't mine.
