Hi folks,
I've been wondering if there are any decent pictures of GY4 (Honeydew) barracudas around. I've searched far and wide but all I've found is mine, and it's faded. Maybe mine was the only barracuda in this color, making it super rare and valuable. Yea, I'm sure that's what it is.
X2.
I've got a '72 Challenger with the GY4 paint and have been looking for eons for a good picture as well. I've never been able to tell if the factory paint on mine was actually GY4 or some hybrid (had it repainted some years ago but I don't think it's the correct original shade). Probably the most difficult color to find.
Depending on how you looked at the original paint, based on the kind of light source, i.e. flourescent, incandescent, or even sun or clouds, the shade of color seemed to change. Sometimes it looks the one Kissalien posted, sometimes it looks almost like Sunfire Yellow, other times somewhere in between (I had a friend call it once Lime Green, but I'm sure she was exaggerating).
I've looked over and over at photos my folks took of it when it was new for years and even up to now...same result (my Dad was the original owner and so I know he never had it reapinted). I've also gotten different shade of it after having small cans of it mixed at various paint shops.
