Unusual opportunities always present themselves...

As some may know, I work at Chrysler. I work for Ralph Gilles, the President of Chrysler Design, and president of the Dodge brand.

I showed Ralph the calendar proof last week, and he was blown away. :faint:  :icon16: (Thanks Judy!!!)
Thanks to all who have contributed to the calendar for significant dates and imagry! IT LOOKS GREAT.
He would like to put a link to purchase the calendar from the Dodge website. He wants top blow it up.
I told him that I would need to ask my fellow members before moving forward with anything.

My humble opinion is to price the calendars accordingly ($15), and a portion of the profits go to the website.
Having the calendar out on the Dodge website would promote C.C.com and encourage others to join, and promote the friendliest E-body site on the net.

So should we put a link on the Dodge website that would enable the individual to purchase a 2010 Claendar?
You decide. :2thumbs:

If you have a solid opinion on this, please vote. I will keep the vote open for 2 days. If it does not get a favorable response, I will decline his offer.

Best,

Dan Zimmermann

First and perhaps only person who should answer this question is Ross  :2cents:

If his answer is yes then sensiblely speaking a charge of his choosing should be paid for the calendar and the procedes (after publising cost) going to Ross for $$$$ support of this forum  :2cents:

Personally, sounds like a good idea to me but should be the decision of our administrator.

I believe after all the work making it up we should market it on a wider basis , it may be too late for this year but for sure next year , we can split the profits between the people who did the work to create it & supporting the site IMO  :2cents:

My Machinist has been looking for a bulk buy on an All Mopar calander as well if we could add his name to the bottom & supply 100 or so I bet he would jump at it as well

It is Ross's call though

I agree with CP.  Let's make sure no one is "out-of-pocket" to produce the calendars then make sure the rest of the proceeds go to Ross to support the forum.

What say ye, Ross?

i think its a great idea.  anything that promotes the site to get more people here.  also, if money can be raised to give back to those who put in the hard work then thats even better.  let me know if theres any way i can help.

Thanks Ross! Good to hear from you.
hopefully We can get Judy to weigh in as well.

I'll talk to Ralph and ask him about printing costs, and what kind of quantity he is talking about.
I am sure my pals in marketing will want to weigh in.

Best,

Dan

wowwwww... I think it would be a great way to bring c-c.com to center stage, but we need to hear from the car owners who are in the calendar. It will be interesting to see what info Dan comes back with after the next jam session.

This could be BIG, people!!

I agree,
If it is good for the C-C forum and the profits come back here than it will be a win-win for all of us...

I think its a great idea. Promote the site, get some recognition for those who have their cars selected, profit for both the site and the ones who did the work on the calender, whats not to like?

I am getting everything together to start shipping. Now, of course, if you want me to ship yours without the extra "goodies" then I can do that, just let me know....... :naughty:
