I am assuming you are talking about the original movie. I don't have a clue where those cars are.
One of the cars used in the remake is owned by Ted Stephens and the last time I saw it was two years ago down at Floyd Garrets Muscle Car museum in Sieverville Tennessee.

This has been brought up before, do a search for the thread.
I was under the impression that all but the 383 auto were basically damaged beyond repair and when returned to Dodge they were destroyed.    :stomp:
However one is supposed to be in New Zealand and another car is on display somewhere, others will chime in or there might be some info on the other threads.

Don't know about the Challengers, or are you referring to the Camaro that crashed into the bulldozers? :poopoke:

That last framed shot with the q/panel in the air and the silver painted road wheel certainly didn't look like a Ralley wheel that the cars were wearing for the rest of the movie.    :poopoke:    :smilielol:    :stirpot:

The cars in the original film were crushed by Chrysler. The cars in the remake were not.

The ones in the museum are from the remake of the movie, not clones. Actually, not all the cars in the original movie were even white for that matter.

In the original film the Challengers were all 383 and 440 R/T cars. I don't think that was true of the remake cars. I think they are all R/T Clones.

In fact even though the Challenger in the remake was supposed to be a Hemi car I don't think any of the cars actually had a hemi in them during filming. Although at least some of them seem to have developed hemi power since....

If you watch the Fox remake carefully you see a shot of the hemi engine. But it you have very sharp eyes you will also notice that the engine bay is actually a shot of a Charger engine bay. I seem to remember the guy that owned that Charger used to be on the old RAMM mailing list (which was the way us older Mopar fellas used to communicate in the mid '90s) and he had photos taken on the day of that shoot.
