Burnt orange interiors, any pics?
« on: January 28, 2010 - 09:51:08 PM »
so it looks like my challenger came from the factory with orange exterior, burnt orange panels, dash frame and trim, and black seats and dash and headliner.
all of the orange was rattle canned black, terribly

I think that sounds like it would look nice, but Im not sure

does anyone have pictures of this setup, or know anything about how they came from the factory? I searched with no results

also my fender tag is missing and no build sheets  :clueless:
how can I figure out how it came from the factory

Never saw one with that combo, are you sure the whole interior wasn't burnt orange?

well, the front and back seats had been green previously and sprayed black, so who knows. I know the chances of this car being original or having very many original parts is slim, but I thought maybe at least since the frame, panels, and headliner trim etc where orange that it was original

Is it a '72 as your user name suggests? Or?

Have you checked those seats for broadcast sheets yet?

Burnt orange was not available in '72, see this page;

If you saved all the pieces of the sheet, send it anyway. I will see what I can do.  ;)

alright, I may have stashed it somewhere I'll keep an eye out for it

I may still go with the orange, I like it a lot mixed with the black. definitely not the all orange interior though

so I wonder how many restos this car has been through then, I am being led to believe not a single part of it is original but the body itself

If you don't go with the orange, please list the orange parts.  Maybe they will clean up again and go on someones car that likes orange.

My car was originally burnt orange (70 chall).  Everything in the car was orange dash, seats, carpet, panels, headliner etc.  I went with black.

well, at this point all I have that is orange is the headlinger trim pieces, and the color will need restored on them. The door panels and dash frame have been painted over unfortunately so I'm thinking about just painting the dash frame body color and getting orange panel re-pops. Not sure, so many options
