In anticipation, the Challenger has now been de-fanged.

Last night I swapped out the 3.91s for the 2.76s. Took the car out on a interstate test loop and cruised at 80 plus without breaking a sweat. Anything over 65 was a stretch before.

I'll have those 3.91s back in there within a week of getting home though. The 2.76s are lame around town.

Damn, you really taking the bite out of the old girl.  But I guess ya gotta do it.  Sucks.  But you're cruising in a beautiful car, that's what the Tour is about.

Working on blog 2, should be up tomorrow.

Mopowered Tour 2010, GET YOUR MOTORS RUNNING!!!!!!

Mopar Collectors Guide Magazine, along with Totally Auto INC., will once again organize the Mopar faithful on the Hot Rod Power Tour into our well known “tour within the tour” - the Mopowered Tour.

You can register online at mopoweredtour@yahoo.com, for this year’s Tour.

FYI: There is no corporate sponsorship or help from Chrysler this year, so it's all out of pocket for us on this one..

New for this year is a texting service that we will provide……….

Supply us your (text capable) cell phone number, (when you sign up at mopoweredtour@yahoo.com) and we’ll give you constant updates of Mopowered Tour meeting places, detours, lunch stops, and topless clubs along the way. Just kidding about that last part.

Remember - the Mopowered Tour is a kid-friendly event and we highly encourage you to bring your son or daughter along for the ride. We guarantee, after a week of high horsepower hijinks on the road, they’ll either love or hate hot rods forever!

Differing from years past, Rob will only be giving out free Mopowered Tour shirts when you subscribe or renew your subscription to MCG along the way. There will only be a limited number of these really cool, "skidscustoms" created T-shirts, so hit us up early - extra shirts will be available for $15. Look for the ratty-n-rusty MCG A100 Van to get yours.

Don’t forget, we don’t charge to be a part of the Mopowered Tour, however, if you’re going to participate in any of the festivities at the Hot Rod Power Tour venues, you’ll need to pay to play with them - which we highly encourage. Do so at hotrod.com.

Also, this year there’s a large group, including Rob and Frank (MCG), meeting up a day late of the Tour’s starting point because they will be coming from the Farmington, Minnesota Mopar show. Check with the MCG booth there for all the details or to join in there.

Totally Auto, Dave and Charlie will once again be the Masters of Mayhem, leading, pacing or generally loosing the group in the lead vehicle orange Challenger, easily found as it is all lettered up as a "Pace Car"

In the rear end, (not literally) is Paul Wilson in the distressed MCG A100 2010 chase vehicle full of swag and tools. Both the lead and chase vehicles are easily spotted and are planning on rolling along to each and every stop. Day-N-Night.

HOT NEW NEWS #1 is an additional stop, just for MoPower tourers. Were hitting Bourbon Street in New Orleans, Saturday night after the "Long Hauler" awards. This "activity" as with EVERYTHING we do on the MoPower Tour is FREE! Food, Bail and BEVERAGES not included, lol.

THERE'S SOME OTHER REALLY NEAT PLANS IN THE WORKS BUT AS USUAL ROB WOLF IS SLOW WITH THE DETAILS, ONE I KNOW OF IS C O O L, BUT HE SWORE ME UNDER THREAT NOXIOUS GASSES FROM THE BACK SEAT,  NOT TO SAY UNTIL IT HITS THE PAGES OF THE MAGAZINE. This year looks to be a gooda-one!

It's about time.  I e-mailed Totally Auto on Tuesday and told them to get there butt in gear.  Last year they had a live video feed from one of the cars as it drove down the highway.

If you guys jump on, bring a cheapee Family Radio so we can talk. You don't always have cell phone coverage.

Don't forget BATTERIES.  My group usually uses Chan 10- Squelch code 20

Well things have changed recently.  I've been put in as the front man for the MoPower Tour.  All the events and planning is now in my hands.  I've gotten some events planned already, and we're fishing out the rest of them today and tomorrow.

Take a look at the links below for updates.

I confirmed my rooms from 6 months ago and they are the same hotel as your on Saturday Devil. Days Inn in Newton. I'll look for you. Look for my Hugger Orange (sic) 70 Challenger R/T and my friends Plum Crazy 440-6 70 Challenger R/T.    Might be with some friends in an old Mopar cop car too.

The stop on the way to Sprinfield is Matin's W. Shop.  Hell of a nice Mopar guy. I can't wait to see him.

Counting down to leave time.... 28.5 hours to go!......

Sweet guys.  I'll see you there.  Look for the Challenger with the balloon on it at the show.  We'll have to meet up.

See you guys there, leaving tonight after work.
