    Kansas Mopar restoration shops?

     Well ... it has been a few (or more ...) years since I've made any progress on my 'Cuda, and I'm thinking the unthinkable!  :scared:

    No, not selling it!  But actually paying someone else to work on it.  Specifically the shell's body work -- replacing sheetmetal, repairing the subframe, paint, glass, and headliner.  The goal is a weekend driver, not a show car.  I'll haul the stripped shell to the selected shop after a visit.

    Any recommendations on good but affordable Mopar restoration shops in Kansas?  N.E. KS best.  I would have taken it to the guy in Hays (with the mopar museum; Junemann?), but I heard he retired some time ago.

    Ya ol Jerry is my neighbor now in Gardner.  :thumbsup:

    i ll ask around I dont know what you want to spend but theres a old car place in Bonner Springs that has a lot of Mopars.

    i ll ask around I dont know what you want to spend but theres a old car place in Bonner Springs that has a lot of Mopars.

    Where in Bonner Springs? I live in Basehor. 

    The guy working on my Challenger is doing a great job, works out of his garage and is affordable.  He is in Southeast Missouri though.

    "Jerry", thanks -- met him a long time ago.  Surprised I remembered, sort of, his last name.

    Probably wouldn't leave the 'Cuda in the hands of a MO Tiger fan ...   :villagers:

    A little hesitant on someone working out of their garage (like me!).  This one's going to need some heavy work, and maybe to go on a frame machine.

    Any others known out there?

    HWY 7 and 32 the main exit on the west side of 7 I will have to get the name for you.

    Wow, thanks!  If he was here, he'd likely get the first call/visit.  Not sure I can say "Go Big Red!".  :grinno:

    Another great shop in southeast Nebraska is Smith Body Shop in Pawnee City. They aren't necessarily Mopar specialists, but they do excellent work on old cars. Here's an article from Custom Classic Trucks on his personal '49 Chevy truck.
