I cant find a title for it  :clueless:

My local DMV is WORTHLESS, they arent doing anything or even returning my emails. Broadway, they pretty much say we'll try but we keep your money if we slack off...

not sure what to do with it? It would be easy to toss a cheap SB in it and slap paint on it, but the  no title thing is giving me pains

Why won't the original owner apply for a lost title? Even if you have to pay for it, it's a lot cheaper than Broadway!
If I cant fix it, it's broke

Why won't the original owner apply for a lost title? Even if you have to pay for it, it's a lot cheaper than Broadway!

long story short, original owner parked it after steering box went out. Never got around to fixing it, about 10 yrs later got into trouble for it sitting there so a guy hauled it to the Jy for him, my guy caught him on the way, pulled him over, gave him $250 for it. Have no idea who the guy that was hauling it was or the original owner....

And the DMV wont respond to me when I ask them if they can track the last registered owner, sent them the VIN

One option, I know where I can get a vin and title for a 71 parts car but the shell is way too far away. I could always find a cheap stripped shell with title and swap over parts but it would have to be 73+, kind of a crap shoot around here.

Or, I could make it a 71 and chop the top off so nobody will know the diff between the year.........make it a dry weather driver, put a cheap SB in it and a quickie paint job

but that seems a little illegal  :clueless:

I hate to see it go to scrap, its a mopar after all, and its solid

Be patient, keep working with your dmv.  If yours won't help, go a town or two over.  Someone in your state can help.  The illegal thing is never a good idea.

Contact a Lien sales rep. See if that might do it.
If he ever asks is it on your property; you say "Yes"

He doesn't need to see it if he asks. Just give him all the info.
