Thank You all for the kind words!!  :worshippy  :worshippy  I NEVER expected to get a 2/3 page pick in MM!!  :grinno:

But as most of you know, including Brad (JH27NOB) who has seen NIKKI, she is NOT a 5.7!!!!!!! She is a 426!!!!  :grinyes:

As soon as I saw this I fired off an email to MM, I cant figure how they got that impression.  :clueless:

When I saw Earl's (troutstreamnm) car in MM a few months back I thought why not give it a shot??
I sent in my pick from our 2008 calendar with a brief bio INCLUDING that she has an 01 crate HEMI. Correct me if I'm wrong but wasn't the 5.7 available starting in 03????   :eek7:

MM also took a bit of artistic license with other things but not that much of a biggie... only the HEMI thing!!!
I'm actually a bit embarassed, and I'm man enuff to admit it.   :smokin:

Overall very cool tho.....  :cooldancing:

A little hint to all our members - you dont need a show car to get in a magazine (NIKKI isn't) just a good pic!!

 :2thumbs:  :2thumbs:

P.S. ... autographed copies are available for a nominal fee!  :roflsmiley:  :roflsmiley:  :roflsmiley:  :roflsmiley:

Congrats again Bigs.  I don't know what is wrong with the editors over at MM because they got a bunch of stuff wrong with my car too.  :screwy:  Oh well, enjoy the HUGE pic and you'd better run out and buy a bunch of copies!  :2thumbs:

I have to admit I was a little confused when I saw the writeup in MM.  5.7?  I thought he had a vintage hemi, did he change it over to a new 5.7 L recently?  :clueless:
I understand now what happened.  Funny, I thought Mopar Collector Guide was the only magazine that embellished and got the facts confused on cars they feature.  I have had several letters published in MCG and they changed a lot of stuff around in my letters too, in fact I have promised myself "never again" when it comes to writing another letter to the editor of MCG, I don't need things rewritten and making me look stupid printed in a major car magazine!
I guess if and when I ever get my T/A finished and it gets featured in magazines I will need to be real careful about info I give to the magazines about it!

No matter if there are mistakes or not getting your car pictured in MM is a good feeling how ever you look at it.

Just got my April issue.  Nice job, Chris.  Did someone try to sell you the commemorative plaque?  When mine was in MM, they contacted me and said I could buy it for $130.  I said no thanks at that price, but finally negotiated to $75.  Still overpriced, but I did want one.

I did get a phone call from some place called the big news or something like that. I politely declined... if the info in the copy was correct I may have gone for it! As I mentioned earlier I was kinda embarassed by the copy (story) cause its NOT what I sent them, but the 2/3 page pic..  :woo:  :ylsuper:  :cooldancing:

Congratulations Big I will have to wait awhile before they send an issue over to us   :aussie:  At least they couldn't mess up the pic's, these magazine people really show how stupid they really are because when somebody recognises your car you will be able to show how wrong they were.
