    E Body Clutch Pedals: Are they the same as B Body Pedals?

    Are 70-74 E body clutch pedals the same as 68, 69, 70, 71-74 B body pedals?  I've got an extra B body set and it occurs to me that it might fit my 73 Barracuda.  I read Chryco Psycho's write-up on 4 speed conversions and it seems to imply that they might be same but it isn't totally clear.

    they will bolt in and are the same size however the shap of the clutch peddal arm and the pads are differant.

    They will work just fine.  :working:

    Interesting, is the arm different for a particular reason, to position it differently, etc. or is it just an aesthetic thing?  Can the pads be swapped to make it look correct?

    aesthetic, maybe they are smaller and slanted, b bodys are more square ish

    71-4 B-body pedals are the same as E-body. The underdash brackets are different, but you can swap the good stuff over to your E-body brackets.

    That's basically what I did with my Roadrunner, good to know that I can do the same with the Barracuda.

    Check out Brewers site, I think they have pic's of the different pedals.

    The B body pedals are bigger which may explain the arm difference.  Here is a picture of the B body pedals in mine. I saw them sjde by side. Got my conversion stuff from brewers. The B body pedals were 50 bucks cheaper.  Bolted right in no problem.

    Thanks for the pics!  I'm saving them for reference.  I'm still waffling about long-term plans for my choice of transmissions.  Gathering the info here is invaluable allowing me to make up my mind with the most complete idea of the issues & options.  For the next year or two I'm definitely staying with the automatic, but the idea of having the pistol grip 4 speed (which I already have most of the pieces for) keeps tugging at me!!

    Be ready to spend more than you figure to switch over to 4 speed.  Cost of all the parts goes on and on.   Seems to get a good trany need to buy rebuilt from Brewers or such, or be ready to have to fix it first.  Still worth it for those wanting it.
