Once you get the vinyl top back on, all the chrome, maybe a stripe....you won't be so focused on all the new paint. Looks good :2cents:
I've taught you everything you know.....but I haven't taught you everything I know !

No stripe but I'm sure you're right. I am sure after the wet sand and buff it will look nice too. I'm just excited to get behind the wheel again

That is looking great. Regardless of what the body guy does or says, it looks nice. Can you get any extra paint from him in case you do decide to grab a trunk lid down the road?

I agree. You need extra of the original batch especially if its a metallic for paint touch ups.
I have a half gallon for just that.

I'm going to get my buddy to ask for any extra the guy has. I think the guy missed that area on the rockers too where there was a lead block. We will see what happens over the next week with it. It looks ounce in the pictures and I'm happy she has color on it, but I'm really wanting the work quality that was discussed prior to me leaving. There is another guy that has his Mach 1 over there to get done so when my buddy goes back over he is going to bring him with and see if the responses change. You know, could cost him some business.

looks way cool from the pics, but if you`re not happy with the result, make sure he fixes it up to your standards.

Slight snag has me searching now. I got an email from yearone saying that the vinyl top for. Their vendor is on national back order and won't be ready until June at the earliest. Now I'm looking into other companies that may be able to fi the order quicker.

At the body shop, the body guy didn't smooth out the trunk lid or the hood and didn't want to fix them since it was painted already. There was also a bunch of craters and pinholes from dirt in the paint. My buddy told him he wasn't accepting the car till the stuff was fixed. This week they said they didn't get to it cause of the other work they have and I'm thinking they threw it on the back burner cause I paid the full bill. Hoping next week is better.

Big thanks to Dave at Roseville for his help in getting me squared away with the vinyl top issue.

picked the car up today and the shop lost the front bumper. The are searching for it now but they leave me very little confidence in them to do anything right. While they are looking, my buddy is going to get started putting the new clutch in and a couple other things. August is coming pretty quick so he isn't sure if he will have all the trim and stuff on the car by the time I get back but it will be drivable so that I can pick it up and drive it to Colorado.
