Sad what we all threw away back then. Most of those would make nice projects nowadays.

I know what you mean. With all the repro stuff out today, they could have been saved. My mom lived about an hour away so I would go all the time. I almost got a job there, but the owner passed away and they eventually sold most of it off and crushed the rest. :eek4: :crying: :-\ :'(

He had what he called the "mopar building" which was a big pole barn with cars lined up on both sides and 2 rows of cars in the middle. The right side were 6 pack cars and the left side were hemi cars. He had a rare 1972 six pack charger. Unreal :eek2:

Great pics, makes you really yearn for those old times.  :violin:

Just imagine what those cars would be worth today restored....  :faint:

Could imagine what that barn was like.  6 Pack this, Hemi that...like household words...

I remember when I bought an old '69 LeMans convertible around '89, the guy I bought it from had 3 Hemi engines in his basement.  :faint:

I bought a lot of parts from Ron. He had some really rare cars. He had 71 Cuda grilles hanging everywhere.
I was offered the Sox and Martin Cuda for 60K not too long after he died. Sure wish I had bought that one. For the record, what they eventually crushed was pretty much just rusty and cut-up shells. The cars were pretty well picked over.

I actually bought a used fuel sending unit for a challenger back then. I remember seeing the Sox and Martin car in the lobby of their front office. He took it to the nationals in 93'. I remember he had separate buildings for engines, interior and grilles consoles etc. I have video of the place somewhere. Still going through vhs tapes to locate it.

I have more pics. I have to scan them. The yard closed up around 2000. The cars in the yard were in rows of 2 by the year. he had at least 8 or so of each year. The blurry pics are taken with a camera my mom found at her house which were 110 film. I will post the video if I ever find it.

I wish I had been able to take pictures of when I was there.  I bought several things for my 1970 Challenger there.  I got the tour of the 2 pole barns of Mopars.  Did anyone get to see the 70 Gran Coupe that was in the house basement?  It was white and had maybe 50 miles on it.  It was perfect.   The house was built around the car.  How cool would it have been to have that car along with all of the 6 pack and Hemi cars they had.
Got a pretty good start on my M46 optioned Barracuda restoration but now it is on hold till I can gather more funds.  Still need a few parts for it.  SIU Graduate 75 AAS Automotive Tech, 94 BS Advanced Tech Studies, 1997 MSED Workforce Education and Development

That car is one of the baddest cars ever!

Any pics of your car when it was in the barn? Or coming out?
