Went junkyard crawling today
« on: February 09, 2010 - 01:11:26 AM »
I went to a junkyard about 15 minutes from my house to find a missing wiper linkage for my Duster. I need to go back tomorrow though because the linkage I got is either missing a piece or my wiper motor is missing a piece. Anyways, here are the pictures I took. Click on the link to see them all.

Nice
I went with some friends Sunday to a yard that the owner lets us go in and pull what we want, not much for older cars but scored a bunch of late 80s early 90s Daytona stuff. He did have a 90 or 91 Shelby turbo 5spd,planning on going back and stripping the entire car including the 568 trans :cooldancing:

I miss being able to go out and get what I need for my cars.
Got a pretty good start on my M46 optioned Barracuda restoration but now it is on hold till I can gather more funds.  Still need a few parts for it.  SIU Graduate 75 AAS Automotive Tech, 94 BS Advanced Tech Studies, 1997 MSED Workforce Education and Development

I agree with Gordon/426Hemi.
There's only a couple of yards here that you can scrounge around in.
The best Mopar yard, Shady Nook (we call Shady Crook) has a very large section of E-bodies.
But, alas, you are not permitted back there.
I saw the E-body section while at the lumber store next store to the yard.
Adding insult to injury (kind of) when you order the part at the front desk, they have an attitude.  It's like theyre doing you a favor to go get the part.  And, of course, the pricing is very high.  When I need a part, I call them first so I know how much not to pay.

Thanks for letting me rant. :hyper:
