    Wheel poll for the Challenger

    Got the Challenger home. Now I'm itching for some different wheels (Rallyes are For Sale... check the classifieds).

    Want 17 inchers to give room for future brake upgrades, although 17" size isn't necessarily pictured below.

    To each his own,  I would go with the Rallyes for it either 14" or 15".  I got both of them.

    I voted #2...  I like #1 though... Never been a fan of the 17" Cragar S/S design though... And I like 5 spokes...

    IMO there is NO uglier wheel than a Cragar.  Equally ugly are Keystones.  If you want to go to a 17" wheel(which will look great) I'd go with either the aluminium Rallye wheels or a Torque Thrust II. 

    Somewhere I have a pic of a 74 Cuda with 17" Rallye wheels.  It really looks great.

    I vote #2. I'm a big fan of the American Racing 200s with grey centers also.

    WOW those do look good.  Really couldn't grasp what they looked like in a 17.  I like the red sidewall treatment too.

    I like the TT originals.  I thought that the T70's didn't come in anything bigger than 15, but I could be wrong.  Should make for a even sweeter looking ride.

    Had Crager SSs on my '73 back in 79.
    Don't know exact measurments, but had really bigs ones on the back a little wee ones up front.  It was the bling of the time period.  :bigshades:

    Read the post folks. Need 17" wheels which rule out 14" or 15" Rallyes.

    Billet Rallyes are $500+ / each... not in this lifetime.

    If I wanted the same wheels as every other car at the cruise-in, I'd get the Torq Thrust IIs. Nice wheel but way too popular.

    I believe the 200-S has been disco'd. Had some of the original 15-inchers on my Charger years ago. Looked killer. Really don't like the 17-inch translation though.

    Never have been a big fan of the Cragar S/S (see Torq Thrust II issue) but the new one piece aluminum ones look nice/different, and have cured the weight problem of the earlier steel construction.

    I'm leaning towards the TTO's, but they are limited to 17x8.

    The T70Rs can be had in 7 inch and 9.5 inch widths which opens up my tire choices.

    I'm familiar with them. Again, kind of pricey. They don't quite pull off the mini-lite look. Spokes are too square. Love the originals though.
