Differential street and strip car

If your putting a Ford 9" in a street and strip car what would you recommend for a differential carrier?  A limited slip or a locker?

I prefer the locker set-up over the limited slip style. If for no other reason than if you ever run it at a prepped track with sticky DR's or slicks, you would want both sides hooking evenly. One side hooking just an instant ahead of the other on the track could make for some entertaining launches.   :22yikes:   I am running a spool in my car with zero ill effects on the street and it goes dead straight down the track.    :burnout:   Just my  :2cents:

I agree with Ken, for the strip I'd go with a spool. I run a 9" trac loc on my street only 455 regal with no regrets. Lockers have more options springs sets ups etc... but they can be noisy on the street I have heard, never had one though?

the 9 " eats a ton of power to rotate it , IMO the Dana is a better choice
we always used to laugh at the track , you didn1t even have to look under the car , if they was 4 guys breaking a sweat to push a car downhill it had the 9 " , if 1 guy was pushing a car uphill it had the Dana
