It would pain me but in this economy I'd take $105K. Doesn't have the Foose name associated with it but I'd put it up against that Challenger any day.

Definitely not my cup of tea. :eek4: Some of his work is OK, the real subtle stuff is great and from what I can see on TV, his quality looks good. I just can't get into the 2 or 3 tone paint jobs. He's skilled at what he does and doesn't need to lean on the two tone paint jobs to make his mark on the cars. IMO, he'd be better off picking a real nice paint color and doing it as one color, if he must add more to it, then maybe some subtle pinstriping. I've never seen a two tone of his I liked, it splits the body up too much, cars lines need to flow. One example of a good two tone is Twisted Fish, that's because they didn't go overboard. Foose has a tendency to do so. Awesome guy with a heart of gold, can't fault him for that, just his cars do nothing for me.

I think the thing that has happened to Foose is he has trapped himself into those outlandish paint/stripe combo's. A couple of nice one tint paint jobs would probably bring him out into the light

Yup, I agree. Look at Sick Fish. IMO, that car wouldn't have been as popular with a two tone paint job.

First off ShelbyDogg the correct spelling is Down Syndrome.  Secondly please don't ridicule or poke fun of people with special needs.  There's far to many other ways to refer to Chip Foose if you wish to do so.  I have a daughter with Down Syndrome and  I really don't like that term used in that way.  Thanks

Dave
Dave I wasn't ridiculing him or anyone with special needs. I stated that I think he is talented and his face has that feature common to that gene. I have a brother that is gay.

Well....one things for sure...we have differing opinions for sure. Love the car or hate the car it made for interesting TV and we ALL watched it. I will add, that was one of my favorite Overhaulin's of all time. I had the opportunity to meet Chip about a year ago at the World of Wheels in St. Paul and I've gotta tell you, he was one of the nicest, most gracious people I've come across. He spent time with the kids in the crowd (even the big "Older" kids), took pictures, answered questions, and truly seemed to care about the fans...you don't see that every day! :2cents:

43gator, that is pretty cool of him to do.  Gotta give him props for that.  Even if I'm in the "that's totally not what I would have done" crowd.
