    OK, I'll fess up and be honest. I have a trailer and I'm not afraid to use it. I prefer to drive it whenever I can but some times it just makes more sense to trailer it and drive it once I get to the destination. Let the bad mouthing begin.

    Seriously, If you are taking it hundreds of miles, then yes, by all means trailer it.

    This is just me speaking here...But the guys that trailer it to a show 10 miles away..  :screwy:   :screwy:

     :iagree: I just saw an AMX in a magazine that said "never driven, only show car" and a recent Mopar Action with a customized 69 RR that is never driven!!!  :pullinghair: Its a CAR!!! HELLO!!

    I love seeing the perfectly restored or work of art trailer queens at shows.  If we were all driving the wheels off of these things, there would be none left for our great great grand children to look at.  Even with the best care possible, nothing that is used will last forever.  So although I prefer to use my cars as much as possible, I appreciate the people who treat them as works of art too.

    Great Thread.    I too drive mine a lot -- to Florida from Vermont last Fall and will drive her back this Spring.  Question for all you drivers:  Has anyone tried those standard bras that I see on ebay?   Has anyone ever tried to have one made for an ebody?   Paint chips are awfully annoying -- and expensive.....

     :iagree:  There are also perfectly restored examples that are museum pieces and they will preserve the history of these cars and could not be driven without puting wear and tear on them so need to be trailered,just not my thing.

    I take my 71 out for weekend drives and even to work once in a while when the weather is nice.  :burnout: You need to keep em exercised.  Between having limited time and multiple toys, I don't get to drive any of them as much as I'd like.  :crying:

     :iagree:  I'd do the same thing with a mint '71 Hemi Cuda convertible.  Maybe not very often or very far, but I'd drive it.  No trailer queens in my garage, even if I won the lottery.  :working:

    Fuel prices aren't really so bad you know.  Don't forget our gallons are bigger than theirs.

    My 'cuda is now my daily, I've got class one business use on my insurance as I use it all the time including for work.

    Before I got the 'cuda on the road back in October my daily was a '72 Mustang.  I'll still use that on sunny days ('vert) if we get any.

    Both those cars have been on trailers though - when I collected them in bits from their previous owners - LOL

    That sometimes even catches people over here. Canadian (Imperial) is bigger than the American gallon. Living close to the USA/Canada border some people went to buy cars in the US and thought the US cars got worse gas mileage.  :lol:

    My Cuda is still sitting in the garage waiting for some $$$ the only time I have "driven"
    it was when I moved and my buddies pushed it out of the garage on to the street to get loaded on the trailer. I do plan on driving the Cuda in good weather when it is finished. But will trailer it to the far away shows

    My car was down at Santa Pod in 2008 with its previous owner. I have been there myself,when my son owned the 3rd fastest

    Skyline R33 in the UK !    Its an awesome place,have fun and try not to break your car.    Probably wont see you though,as i

     :clapping:  UK CUDA,   I like your style...........but i cant believe you actually use your cuda every day for work!

    I hope you have a safe place to park it,where it wont get damaged or stolen!     My biggest fear would be finding the car was

    no longer where i parked it when i finished my work.    :eek2:         And on the subject of fuel, i can remember paying less than

    one pound a gallon.  Bet you do too !!!!                                                                 :cheers:
