Suggestions on ignition system

I am rebuilding my 340 on a '72 barracuda. The distributor and coil pack along with the alternator are going in the trash. Any suggestions on replacements?

What are you leaning towards , the dist is reliable so Why trash it
I have used the Mopar Chrome boxes with Pretronics or MSD balster coils
I am not a fan of MSD , the cost is silly & the performance is mediocre , if you want that type of system why not use the Mallory digit box for less than 1/2 the cost & it has the rev limiter built in & it is adjustable with dials not expensive chips

Challenger - You`ll wish You Hadn`t

The distributor and coil are just old and really beat. I was just wanting advice on manufacturer more than anything. I just want a quality replacement. I also plan on having a decent sound system so I wanted a little more juice and recommendation on a alternator.
