Cuda Front End Rebuild Magazine Article
« on: February 15, 2010 - 12:08:54 AM »
Hey guys, I'm going to start working on my 74 Barracuda again.  I bought a poly front end rebuild kit from PST.  I have a factory service manual for 74 Plymouth and I used to have a magazine that had an article on doing a rebuild.  The car they used was a Cuda.  I can't remember what magazine it was and was hoping someone might know.  Or tell me where I could find a tech article for this.  thanks, Mike

There is an article out their that address redoing the bushings in the lower control arms.....is that what you are looking for?

Or are you referring to a article that goes over the whole shebang?

If there's an article that goes over the whole shebang, that would be great!  I'm about to finish a long engine rebuilt/paint job and will surely need to upgrade the suspension/steering now that it's going from a worn out 318 to a balls to the wall 360!

thanks for the repiles.  I think there was an article that went over most of it and it was a Cuda.  I thought I saved the magazine or meant to save it.  But I recently got rid of a bunch of magazines.  I have the factory manual, but I was looking for something to supplement.  Any articles specific to e-bodies would be good.  I'm not sure I want to mess with the torsion bars.  I'm not replacing them but it says to unload them.  I'll start with the center link and sway bar end links first.  On another note, i'm ready to put all new brake lines in, so I'll do that while deciding if I can do the ball joints and control arm busings myself.  When I bought brake lines I figured I'd buy the main fuel lines, but I'm not really sure I need them.  sorry to change the subject.

I've seen the articles posted here before.
Here's the link to PST, they have the articles, as well

Thanks, those articles look pretty good.  Also, I realized I actually bought the front end kit from Performance Suspension Components www.performancesuspension.com not p-s-t as I said before.  I bought it 3 years ago.  Anyway p-s-t has those articles which I will use and they show common tools they used instead of the specialty tools.
