Alright, im putting on a set of super stock leaf springs on my 1970 barracuda, and im using a set of comp. engineering shocks. But when I tried to install the shocks, I couldnt extend them far enough. What am I doing wrong?

Do you have the rear axle supported by a jack or jack stands? If the car is jacked up, but the axle isn't supported, that would be your problem.

 :iagree:

Also, are the shocks longer than stock?

I added add-a-leafs to my car and found teh stock shocks (which were toast anyways) were toooooo short...they would bang everytime I went over an edge or something as the shocks bottomed out....

I think the SS springs need longer shocks too, dont they?   :clueless:

CE shocks are designed for stock or lower ride height. They will not work with the extra height added by the SS springs. So, either you need to get longer units, Mopar makes special extended ones or you just buy some for a 72 1/2 ton truck, or you change the mounting points to bring them closer together.
