Wheel question..
« on: September 19, 2004 - 10:45:10 PM »
I'm a long ways off from getting the wheels back on my Challenger, but was curious about which ones the factory used on my car. I haven't been able to find any reference for the actual wheel.

Under the Build Codes section on the build sheet I have:

Wheels
Road - 29
Color - TX9
Spare - 00

Wheel Cover
54

Nothing in the Sales Codes section under WH/COV (I assume wheels).

So it looks like body colour wheels, but what size, and which wheel cover is that code for?

Well, the top wheel is a Chevrolet wheel and the bottom one is a Ford wheel. I don't believe either one of those came on a Challenger! ::)

Just a slightly educated guess, but the "29" on your build sheet might represent the last two digits of the part number for your original wheel ::)  If you know someone with access to a parts book for your year, a match could be found.
