Lucy vs. Bulldozer
« on: February 18, 2010 - 09:04:08 AM »
Hey guys!

I took Lucy out for a cruise several weeks back and came across a D9H Cat, perfect opportunity for a quick photoshoot! Unlike Barry Newman, I didn't drive into this one lol. Like the movie, funnily enough, on the way back home I spotted some Gypsies in the park hahaha. The only thing missing were an old man looking for snakes to pay for his beans. God Bless America for making such awesome and fun classic machines, the good old days!! Photos and video attached!

Cheers,
Carl

Great shots, man.  Car looks a little too clean, though.  Very nice.

Thanks for sharing!  Great shots.  :2thumbs:
The funniest thing about this particular signature is that by the time you realize it doesn't say anything it's to late to stop reading it.

Very cool!

How is it you have Colorado plates?  Do you keep those just for pics and use regular NZ plates the rest of the time?

Thanks! They're custom made "replica" plates from www.licenseplates.tv As long as I own the digits and have an NZ plate registered with those #s, it's as simple as removing the white/black NZ plates and bolting on the USA plates. Not entirely legal (lol) but cops in NZ don't seem to mind, they have better things to do I guess. They would just run the plates when following me to make sure the actual plate numbers are real and that the plate wasn't a "show" plate. Plus, when they're on classic cars they tend to turn a blind eye. A 97 Honda with Japanese plates wouldn't get the same treatment.

Thanks everyone!

Well, since you had "vs" in the thread title and the last picture only had Lucy in it, I guess you pushed the bulldozer into the river!  :smilielol:

Some nice shots of Lucy there.  :2thumbs:

I am not the one who has been MIA . . . lol

Everything is fine . . . just work alot trying to pay the bills and most of my job now has me camped in front of a computer.  So when I'm done, I usually check the site and enough computer.  Plus I got a 104" HD TV now and have been enjoying that alittle.

I hear yah mate, I've done my share of PC work and the last thing you want to do after spending all day behind the screen is spend more time behind it. It's nice to see you and all the CCC oldies still keeping this place in check.
