Just getting the word out for Spring Fling XXIV April 17th & 18, 2009 Held at Woodley Park, Van Nuys CA

2009 show: 500+ cars, 250+ swap, 40+ midways, 9,000+ FREE admission spectators, held in a beautiful tree lined and shaded park.

Less that 20 miles from LAX airport, Burbank Airport, Universal Studios, NBC studios, Magic Mountain, the Pacific Ocean, Beverly Hills, Hollywood...

New: Show cars that drive in without trailer will enter and exit the show field starting at 7:00am directly from a new north gate and entry. No dusty entry road. Show cars on trailers will enter the show starting at 7:00 along with the swap meeters. This is a response to some suggestions you all made on the survey forms you filled out.

THURSDAY

Spring Fling Speed Festival

• 4rd annual Mopar track event at Willow Springs Raceway, Buttonwillow, CA
• 8am to 5pm of on track race time. Info, pictures, shceduled cars click here or call Tim Herren at (310) 538-8098
  
• 40+ Mopars on the track last year
• Bring you new Mopar or bring your old Mopar
• Blueberry Pancake breakfast
• Drivers mtg 7am (instructors present run groups sorted by experiance)
• Free cruise laps 12pm for all spectators.
• Awards Pres. 5pm
• Dinner 6:00 pm

Coastal Caravan Cruise

• Seaside, CA starting at 9 am
• travel the coast scenic Hwy 1 with a train of awesome Mopars

Isn't there a Van Nuys cruise on Wed night?
Then we also hit Bob's Big Boy on Fri night.
Oops on the hotel, I booked already before seeing the great deal this year, I was quoted 120.00 a night + parking so I went up the road.

yeah man the Cruise is the Weds before the Fling... we usto be able to park at a nice big lot but the owner sold the lot so now we park on the street and cruise ... there is also a place called "The Plant" where they have a massive parking lot where a few of us might be parked while we cruise.... if your interested in more details ill update you

so far right now the plan is to park on van nuys blvd. along the side walk ...grab some food and drinks (non alcoholic ofcourse) watch the cruise, cruise yourself a bit , park again, watch, and repeat lol

Basically like the regular cruises, besides the sidewalk, you can park near the gas station like most others. If its not jampacked.

SPECIAL ANNOUCEMENT!!

From 5pm to 9pm Friday evening/night there's going to be a Meet and Greet JUST for Spring Fling attendees/spectators at Ted Moser's Motion Picture Car Warehouse's NEW LOCATION in Northridge at 8400 Reseda Blvd just north of Roscoe. 5.6 Miles from Spring Fling. It's the old Rydell Cadilac Dealership.

Ted is going to have his showroom open and an area in the front lot for vintage mopars to park. He is also going to have a RACING SIMILATOR out there for the Spring Fling guests to have some fun with.

 

Ted is not going to have food. This would something to stop by and check out for 1/2+ hour or so and then travel on 3 miles more to the Northridge Bob's Big Boy Cruise-In on Corbin and Nordoff.

This location is on the way to the Northridge Bob's Big Boy Cruise-In. Only ~3 miles away. From Motion Picture Car Warehouse, travel north on Reseda and make left on Parthenia. Go west on Parthenia and make right on Corbin. Bob's Big Boy Cruise In is right there on the right side in the shopping center parking lot.

People going on the Malibu and Coastal Cruises will be attending this and then the Northridge Bob's Big Boy Cruise In. It would not surprise me if Kenny Wayne Shepard will be at Picture Car Warehouse a some point since his Duster is in the showroom there.

Any one know where Leno's Bat cave is?
I thought the Bob's cruise was  at the Burbank location
