I feel your pain brother, I too am am at the exact same stage as you on my 69 Charger, even down to the engine bay being torn to bits with the engine covered with plastic and secured with duct tape. I am still prepping the bay/ jams and trunk for color and hope to have some on this weekend.
I'll put up a coupla pics one of these days and we can start the race to see who finishes first
Seriously though, I have been working the car for ten years now and I doubt that it will be ready this year either.
Over the last ten, I have rebuilt the front end, brakes, engine and tranny, and for the last two, the bodywork, Still need to install the sure grip however.
Lesson learned??? I don't plan on tearing either the Cuda or challenger down that far, the Charger was enough for me.
Ah well, it will be worth it in the end to be able to finally present the "restored" Charger to my wife as our 20 yr anniversary
