Thanks for the idea Wade! I just ordered this one locally should be here Wednesday. I have the regular adjuster here now but the one you suggested looked easier to plumb in? Your getting really good at spending my money for me! :smilielol: :2thumbs:

And thanks also to Changin Gears too I ordered the wheel cyl. you suggested too! As well as new calipers....might as well have everything all new...I've come this far! ::)

On the Wilwood site I cannot find the 11179  but other proportioning valves are listed as 1/8-27 NPT  .     The OE rear brake line has a larger fitting, no idea what that size is but they seemed to be the same as the big ones on the master cylinder. NAPA gives that size as 9/16-20...See if it fits, good place to start.

Brake lines do bolt right up to it! adapter needed for the rear lines as they are bigger. I'm waiting on one more adapter to come in. I took pictures but darn camera, the batteries just died. :pullinghair:

Just got some batteries. You can see the adapter I needed ( silver) for the rear brake lines. Just waiting on one more before I install it. I'l have to bend the lines some to fit this valve , but I don't foresee a problem doing that.

Finally got it installed today. Those adapters I mentioned...DON'T USE THEM!!!! The ones I had were for 1/4 brake line they won't work, they will leak!
I cut off the ends on a few brake lines reflared it with the smaller fitting so they just screw in, Fittings come with the Wilwood valve. I haven't filled it up with brake fluid and bledd everything yet but it's all ready to do. I'll pull off the master to bleed it first.
I ( as suggested) installed Raybestos rear wheel cylinders WC37236 also.So every thing is new! :2thumbs:

interested to see how it works.  Somewhere I read that it does not have a residual valve and that may cause the front to dive before the rears take effect.  Not sure if that applies on our cars, or not.

I think this was covered earlier but bottom line is newer design to rear brake cylinders has negated the need for residual valves...by '73 they were no longer used.

I installed the other wilwood prop valve and also dont have the residual valve....so far, no problems with diving.   :2thumbs:

I think the residual valve is actually to prevent older rear wheel cylinders from sucking air.....from what has been told to me in other threads, no longer and issue with replacement cylinders.

Hey Brads70....I have the same MC as you know.....how soon will it be before you drive that car?  I have some issues with the filler caps leaking brake fluid. :swear:  Wondering if anyone else is.  ruined my paint job on my one torsion bar.   :banghead:

Ironically leaking is why I decided to go with the newer style...... :bricks1:

I contacted drdiff and he suggested making sure the level is about 1/4" below the bottom of the filler holes (I am) and that there is no flash or anything from the molding process where the caps meet the filler holes (there isnt).....so he is sending me a couple of oem caps to try.  The caps that are on there just dont feel "tight" enough so i am hoping thats it.....unless my system is somehow pressurizing it and causing it to spew??  :clueless:
