Shandango...Ever get your loose caliper situation figured out?
I think this was covered earlier but bottom line is newer design to rear brake cylinders has negated the need for residual valves...by '73 they were no longer used.
Seems to me, a fair bit of what you bought at AutoZone was less than stellar equipment, disc brake hardware, rear wheel cylinders... Should think twice before buying from them again.
Well, lets face it, all of the stuff these days is likely to be made in china.
Well after driving this for a few miles, I gotta say manual brakes ....ummm take some getting used to? I never have had a car with manual brakes? I can see me looking into a hydaboost system sometime in the future? It stops and all, just not as quick as what I'm used too?
Come on man! I have manual brakes. Build up those thigh muscles.
Hey Brads70....I have the same MC as you know.....how soon will it be before you drive that car? I have some issues with the filler caps leaking brake fluid. Wondering if anyone else is. ruined my paint job on my one torsion bar.
Hey mine leak to! What did you do to cure this?
I had bought my MC from DrDiff,,,,and when I emailed him, he ended up sending me two from an OEM used master cyclinder....cured the leak.Although every now and then I still get a tiny bit thru the rear, but not like before. The kicker is that one reason I went to the new style is cause I figured it would be less prone to leaks.go figure...LOL
