I've never seen an after market carpet with the seat belt thingies. Uou're probably going to have to reuse your old ones if you can.

Don't know where you bought your carpet, but the 4 replacement carpets I've bought from Legendary across the years have also had a color matched grommet (plastic) for around the dimmer switch. And I have also bought replacement seatbelt "sleeves" from them. You probably can however find mental brass gromments at a hardware store to fit,?

I just finished carpet install on my car, bought it from ACC.  They are supposed to be 1 of the best suppliers.  Didn't come with any brass grommets.  I didn't see any of those on the carpet I took out either.  Where are they, what do they do / hold?

Here's some info

The dimmer grommets are not OE, the factory just cut a hole in the carpet.

There are tabs under the rear seat, the grommets slipped over those, then the tabs were bent to the rear to secure the carpet edge under the rear seat.

Yeah, the ones I am asking about are the ones in the carpet at the back seat corners that go over the tabs.  Are they in replacement carpets?

Sorry, I guess I should also look at the detail pics closer when I read  :clueless:  But in my defense sence there were no babes in this car related thread I glossed over ther pics.  :roflsmiley:  No, none of the carpet replacement projects that I have done included those. I just carefully cut a hole for the anchor bolt and used a flat washer to secure the carpet around the bolt, then slid the seat belt "sleave" back down over the bolt head.

Sorry I didn't pay close enough attention to the pic you showed and I posted a dimwit reply, but the plastic one around the dimmer switch was included.

Those mental brass grommets just hang around in the back corners of the carpets behind the plastic side panels.  They don't fasten to anything as far as I can tell! :dunno: :clueless:

Ok now this just doesn't make sense.  You must be a really hardcore originality type of guy?  You want to get grommets for repo carpet, that no one reproduces and don't actually hook to anything?

J/K you a little, but you must be missing a tab or something?

Yeah, and when all the interior parts are reinstalled you can't see it either!! :roflsmiley: :roflsmiley:

No tabs or anything that I can see.
If you could see my "restoration" skills you would never think me hardcore! :roflsmiley: :roflsmiley:

I'm just curious I guess?

I could see where those would help.  My rear carpet could actually use a couple grommet/tabs near the tranny hump in the rear to hold the carpet down.

I learned something, this is my 2nd Challenger and neither 1 had those on the carpet.

Thx!
