« on: February 26, 2010 - 12:35:34 PM »
Have a set of 6 way adjustable seat tracks 1,200+Shipping obo. Includes seat tracks, braces and everything. Had them on my 71 challenger and worked great. Why am I selling you might ask - I need the money. They have the chrome knobs unlike the picture. You can either send me a private message or send me an e-mail at ricktracey@live.com

Even though PG sells repos for $475, I have also seen some really nice original units sell for 500-800....

Wow - Thanks this was definately an awakening. When I bought mine the going rate (just for the seat tracks) was around 1,000. Maybe I'll just keep them on the car.

 :iagree: Plus, you'll never get that money back, unless you're just looking to pick up whatever you can get for them.  Prices almost always drop once the repros come out.

Since the seat track you show is my photo & that seat track is actually mine & installed in my car......

Do you have a photo of the one YOU have for sale or is this a scam?  :dunno:

Both images were stolen from Nick's site;

So, again, got any photos of the ones YOU have for sale?

I may have mentioned the word "stolen" too soon. Nick had my permission to use my photos.

I do not know (yet) if anyone asked his permission to use them. I should know soon though.........

Scammers commonly steal photos from websites to try & sell items they do not actually have, so this looks very suspicious to me.

For ANY legitimate seller, take the time to photograph the item YOU have. Trying to sell something I have ticks me off.  :bigsmile:

And rightly so. My biggest pet peeve is Internet scammers.

I can certainly appreciate you're not liking to see your picture used by someone else to sell something, but...
lots of times its much more convenient to use a general picture you find online because maybe you dont have a camera, or dont want to go to the trouble right then of taking the shot, downloading it, etc., or your part is mounted and difficult to get a good shot of, or whatever. That said, he should have just said the pictures werent of his actual tracks, but he kinda did when he said his had chrome knobs.
What are the rules or laws which govern use of pictures online, cause I have copied countless pictures just for my own use or reference. I would think unless it's copyrighted, once you post it online somewhere, it then belongs to the world. Just asking. :popcorn:
