    He does kind of infer the pics are not of his tracks when he says his have the chrome knobs, unlike the ones in the picture, but, yes, he should have made it more clear that the pictures were not of his.

    With that said, for the price he is asking, the pictures should definitely be of the actual item so any buyers will know for sure what they are getting.

    Good to know he is legit.

    Using a photo of the actual items for sale would be a great idea though, especially since mine has been repaired with a coat hanger.  :2cents:

    He confirmed that no one asked for permission to use the photos as well.

    Saving images for personal use is one thing, but if you post them in public then it can become a legal issue if you do not have permission from the publisher.

    I know this isnt on topic, but once the pictures are out there, how does anyone else know if they're copyrighted?
    Usually there's a mark on the picture, but in this day in age it's easy to crop or photoshop out the mark.

    More often than not it's case just like this, where the pictures come up and the furr flies after the fact.  I'm sure this is just a misunderstanding, but definitely something to look out for int he future.  There are too many scammers out there that do this exact thing (not that this is a scam, like mentioned above).

    The guy is a Sr. member with over 1400 posts and you accuse him of being a scammer? SHAME ON YOU. A simple question about the picture would have been more appropriate.

    Sorry but post count means nothing.  Anyone can sit and post junk all day and get a high post count.
