Removeing rear bench seat out of 71 E body

Whats the trick to removing the rear seat on my 71 E body?

Push back on the front lowest portion of the seat bottom around the "middle" of each footwell.  There is a rear-facing hook that the seat bottom slides into on each side.

I've found sitting on it holding on with your hands & pushing back with your feet works well...of coarse you have to get your weight off of it before the final lift motion.

Some have had the seat back bolted in, but mine just lifts out.   :eek7:

You can do this one side at a time, too.  Just get it unhooked on one side, then go to the other side and push it back towards the trunk and push up and it should be ready to lift out.

`71 vert. the seatback is bolted in and you have to remove the bottom first to expose the bolts.
