New Brake Master Cylinder
« on: February 27, 2010 - 12:33:30 PM »
Where is the best and least cost expensive to buy a new master cylinder for my 70 challey? No booster, disc on front, drum on rear. Can't stop mine from leaking. Dave

When I first got my car last march I just needed her on the road....so I ended up getting a MC from autozone.

even with the core it was relatively cheap....$16 no core ....(drum /drum car)...

I am redoing my brake system and ended up buying a more modern all aluminum deal from drdiff on ebay.  $100 or so.

Depends on what you want to do. I figure the newer style is less likely to develop a leak with the caps on the reservoir rather than the whole top coming off.

your 70 didnt come with front disks and manual brakes.

try a stock m/c for a 73-74 with manual disks.
