I have the torque thrust IIs and the metal cap interferes with my socket.I've removed the wheels at least 10 times in the past few weeks since I got them, and the caps now have 5 grooves worn in them from my socket. You have to hold the socket loosely at an angle to drive the lugs in.
Spoke with Summit today. Apparently I have the wrong lug nuts. The SS 61 Series that I have take a conical shaped lug nut with no washer. Maybe this would account for having to retighten every 1000 miles. I haven't heard that before but without a lock washer of some kind I can see where they may loosen over time.
