We will be going through a few changes around here in the very near future.  I know some may not be too happy, but we will be having a small amount of advertisements present on the site.  This has become necessary to keep the site in private hands.  I certainly prefer, as I hope you all do as well, to keep this site private and not see it go to a company/corporation that just wants to milk it.  On the plus side, my business guy has worked out some good deals for us at Year One.  They will be the main sponsor of the site and have graciously agreed to some generous discounts for the members.  I would also like to reassure that the banners will be kept tasteful, well managed and mopar related, not to be let out of control like some other sites we all know.

with that said i encourage every one to visit our first sponsor, Restorations by Julius.  Julius runs a one man show of Mopar restoring excellence.  Ive seen his work first hand and its impeccable.  I visited him last week for some discussions and was greeted by a gorgeous aar 4 speed, a perfect 68 charger, and a beautiful hemi cuda in the corner of the shop under going some work.  Julius isnt the type of guy to call just to shoot the breeze with, but if you want top notch work done hes your man.

again, understand that i have the best intentions for the site and things will work out for our benefit.  with some of the help im getting, ill be able to put back into the site and assure that it is the best place to discuss cudas and challengers.

Just to re-iterate what 69ChargerRT said, Julius does the very best work I've ever seen.  He is HIGHLY knowledgable in the MOPAR industry, and has basically been everywhere and done everything in the MOPAR restoration world.  He is one of the few I would trust to do my work, and without me looking over his shoulder constantly....I would gladly just walk away and trust him.  Truly consider him for your restoration needs.  He is located near where I live in Los Angeles.

I have included his "About Us" section of his website below.  Interesting read.

He has worked in the automotive industry for more than thirty-two years, owning his own business in automotive repair for the majority of that time. Specializing in ground up restorations on performance Mopars, he is one of a very few also performing repairs and maintenance.

His work has earned him an excellent reputation and a display case full of trophies for not only himself, but for his many satisfied clients. He consults with Mopar enthusiasts both here in the United States and internationally. He and his work have been featured in many magazine articles all over the world.

His car club, Chrysler Performance West, has produced the largest and most successful Mopar show in the west for the last sixteen years. He also singularly produced the 1996 Pacific Nationals in Las Vegas.

The latest production was several appearances on the History Channel and TLC regarding the Goldberg Show and Million Dollar vehicles featuring a real 71 Hemi Cuda Convertible (1 of 2 real 71 Hemi Convertibles which Julius has restored). He has also provided cars for various magazines and Chrysler publications which include posters, catalogues and calendars.

About the Work... We use only the best parts and material available from all over the country for each job, whether NOS, new or hand picked quality used parts. Complete restorations are taken down to the unibody, blasted with baking soda to prevent warping and then repainted and reassembled. Extensive use of powder coating and plating is used to put all parts back into 'like new' condition. Aside from ground-up and partial restorations, we can do all forms of repairs, maintenance, modifications, customizing and various conversions, e.g."

Thanks for all you do Ross!  I for one really enjoys this site and have met many great people and friends here. It was great to meet you at Carlisle. ( I was walking with Neil in the parts area, when Neil introduced me to you.)

Nothing against Y1 as they do a lot for the hobby, but I would feel much better if the vendors who have supported the site get a chance to keep doing so.  I do go out of my way to try and do business with them.  This might be a free site to me, but I know it's far from free.  That's why we have to support those who keep it free to the end user.
The funniest thing about this particular signature is that by the time you realize it doesn't say anything it's to late to stop reading it.

Hi Ross,

We spoke a while ago about an opportunity for me to advertise here on CC.com. I am a real small start up business that is trying to fulfill a very small niche market the best I can. What I am trying to offer is a resource for E body owners to help keep them from ending up being beached on the side of the road only second  only to running out of gas. Electrical components are usually given a low priority when compared to paint work and engine builds budgets until an electrical component fails and become issue.

Let me know what I would have to invest in getting the word out for JS Restorations. A PM would be appreciated.

Thank you,

Slotts

Jim,
It has been suggested that I take on sponsors for HH & we need a test mule. Want to go first? My webmaster needs someone to play with to get the details sorted out.

Email if interested.

Hokey Smokes Bullwinkle! Barry, you're blowing my mind!  :faint:   :jumping:    :bananasmi

I could only point to an email address for now. I do have the domain registered but haven't had time to get a web site together yet.

I will send an email tomorrow morning. I have to get back to work....   :working:

Thank you!  :worshippy

So, at this point can we not click on any other advertiser icons ( they aren't showing on the screen anymore)?. Just tried to find Roseville's site and it's nowhere to be found.
If I cant fix it, it's broke
