Here it is! I finally took pix of my '71 Challenger. Like I've said before, she's not too pretty right now, but she will be! A "diamond in the rough" I guess! I picked her up last month, and she needs a decent amount of work, but nevertheless a good find! A 1971 Plain-Jane with a fair amount of options. Originally B5 Blue with a white vinyl top,(of which she will be again), a 440-4bbl powerplant, although not original; the car is an N code, but I'm gonna keep the 440 and rebuild it. To me, its not worth getting another 383 because "its supposed to " have one in there. I'm thinking though, ditch the a/c and go with a 6 Pack, or keep the a/c and the 4 bbl?...hmmm...decisions! It came from the factory with a 383 -4bbl, (long gone), but has the original 727 trans, and the 8 3/4 rear. Also came from the factory with these options: a/c, power steering, power disc brakes, power windows, 6 way adjustable driver's seat, rallye dash, chrome & remote dual racing mirrors, am/fm radio, belt& hood moldings, front bumper periphery(??), 3 spd wipers, exterior trim molding group. 1970 15" rallye rims on there from another car, but since I don't know what originally came on this car, no build sheet(s), I'm thinking of going steel wheels/dog dish hubcaps, or maybe get the correct centercaps/trim rings for the rallyes, right now the last thing on my mind, although I'm leaning towards the dog dishes! The only thing Im gonna change is the flat hood to a rallye, and the rear valence to one with exhaust cutouts, other than that I want the car to look as it did when it came of the lot in 1971. Also, the interior is Brite Blue, and it has the Tuff Wheel I previously posted about. I think I'm gonna keep it, I don't know if it came with it(again no build sheets) but I'l leave it instead of going 3 spoke. So here she is! (I'll put another post up for the rest of my pictures)
