Great find Jimmy!  For a plain jane it has a lot of nice options. What's your plans for it?

Oh man!  Just hit a wrong button, erased my whole paragraph!  Tough when you're typing, watching College Gridiron,Mich vs Iowa( but go Rutgers Scarlet Knights!!!) and sippin' a Miller Lite!(and plannin' for the tailgate at Giants vs Cleveland--go Big Blue!)  Anyway, thanks everybody who reply'ed on my pix!  Thanks, she was a great find, and my plans for her are to make her the way she came off the lot in 1971 ( when I was 3 yrs old!LOL) Any and all replies for suggestions are welcome, because I'm just gettin back into the car game after awhile!  But as nice as maybe the pics are, she needs alot of work!  1/4's both, both fenders, rear valence, and around the rear window, and decklid.  Interior needs full rest too.Thank God all floor pans, and frame is perfect! But I want to make her as original as possible, but without any buildsheets, I'm gonna take some liberties!  A rallye hood from the flat hood which is shot anyway, a rear valence with exhaust cut outs, as apposed to the regular valence, and the Tuff Wheel which I dont know if its original, of which was offered then but I'm gonna keep it because its cheaper than getting a 3 spoke, and having it resto'ed, and the engine is not original,it has a 440 -4bbl now,  supposed to come with a 383 4 bbl, but to me its not worth getting another 383, because it wouldnt matter anyway, since its not #s matching, ( and.. who couldn't use a couple of extra inches anyway! LOL) I want the car to look as original as possible, but keep the 440, rallye hood, and cutout valence, ( Im not ruining the hobby, am I ?? LOL I dont have any buildsheets! Sorry, GG!) Keepin' her B5 Blue paint, V1W white vinyl roof, and H6B5 Brite Blue interior.  A true representative of the breed!  Well. thats it, spent my 15 minutes. That's it!

Why not have both...a 6-pack and a/c 8) 8)

I remember seeing a 70 Challenger 440 sixpack and a/c (the a/c was added on)

Just wanna say thanks for the great replies!!  GoMango, maybe I'll do just that, keep the a/c and 6 pack it.  I thought since a car couldn't be ordered with 6 pack AND a/c that there was some reason for it, for instance, space limitations....I don't know.

A friend of mine found a '71 383-4bbl, so Im gonna get it and use that, and take out the 440 ( can't wait to get the replies about that one!LOL) , want to keep it original, and I found out that the N41 rear valence without tips is a "delete" in California, so maybe my car was bought originally there.

:P :P :P :P :P :P Yup, you will get some flack from some of us about yanking the 440, but not much!  ;D Just kidding, if you want it original, that's the way you should do it. But if you are going to do that, you will have to keep the 4 bbl and the A/C. Just wouldn't be my choice. I would make a lot of the resto types mad if they saw what I would do to that car! hehe, love it though, that isn't a plain jane by no means. Ralley gauges too huh? Nice find J'Cuda! Keep us posted as to your progress!  :)

Well, found out the car wasn't bought there, would've had a N95 emissions code on the tag!(duh!)  Yeah, I know about the 440 and all, but keepin it orig, just gonna be a local show/cruiser resto'ed car, not a strip car, so originality trumps over the extra cubic inches!  And yes keepin the 4 bbl and a/c!  15 yrs ago I wouldve laughed at myself, I wouldve said "are you on crack?!  Keep the 440, and right off the bat ditch that sissy a/c!"  LOL  Funny, ideas change as you get older( well in my case!)  Thanks Rusty( well I work at R.U.!!)  and thanks Plum!  Appreciate the good comments!
