    hey Mike,  I have to admit I was not impressed when I saw the wheels a little while ago,  but MAN!! do they look good or what...!  I bet you walked around smiling for at least a few seconds...  :bananasmi  I love the way the rear wheels are tucked in.  Looks racey to me   :drool:  :2thumbs:

    Mike, once again, your ride looks amazing. LOVE the weld racing wheels and the big and littles. HUGE fan of that. IMO, thank God it wasn't those big ass, "Pro touring" "Chip Foose" wheels. Again, looks killer. I can't believe my car wasn't anywhere near as bad as yours, yet it looks like your gonna run aorund me shortly in progress. I wouldn't have it any other way bro. Helluva job.

    Man, I just read this all the way through. At the beginning my reaction was  :scared: :scared: :eek2:. Not because of your work but how extensive the rust and how deep you had to go. I crawl around my car and it looks fairly solid but it is the unseen part that makes me nervous. Just the thought of encountering half of what you did intimidates the begeezes out of me. :faint:  I am not anywhere as capable as you. If I run into that, I'm toast.

    With that said, You sir, are the master. :worshippy :worshippy  I will tear into my car and if I find uglies, I will have my bible, right here in this thread. Thank you for the awesome resto and documentation. I look forward to the continuation and completion of your thread. :2thumbs:

    You are correct Bart.... I've walked around around staring at it quite a bit. I find it hard to believe I have it looking the way it is.  :faint:
    Cooter, my vision for the project is the nose down "Funny Car" type of look that I had with my last Challenger. I'm old (school).  :lol:
    Bill, you probably already know my project is no stranger to jack stands. My tires can stand up with no help from a diff.  :lol:

      205-60-R15. I'm kinda wishing I went with the 215's.  The front is going to be pretty low, an I don't want them hitting the fenders in turns.

    225/60/15 v rated (The biggest 15" they come in.)
    I will get these front tires when I start street driving this car after a few years of drag racing. I have weld 3" x15"/ VW's for now. I want to get the 8"x15"/4.5" Bs. x 15" Billit for the front to go with the Billit 10"x15"/ 5" Bs. and  275/60's tires I have now. I have also been using 10x29" Hooser slicks on 8"x15"/ 4" bs. weld 8 hole, to match the front for racing. They need a 7/16" spacer to keep them off the leafs on turns with a spool that's in now.

    When the front tire is to short, the car would over steer on tight ramps. If you get it too low the headers will snag on something, so I like stock. E body's are a factory low rider already.

    I plan on running TTI headers and a low profile oil pan to keep everything snugged up under the car. My last one had 195- 70's up front and hookers. It seemed to work O.K.:

    I just took the 215/60 R14" on 6" slots off, that are about 25" tall and they were ok. But I did watch a 80's Mustang and 2000 Camaro both pull away on freeway ramps while I struggled with the twichy over steer. So I'm looking for better handling front tires. I mention this problem as helpful advice so people know what I tried and didn't like.
    The 1968 cuda is using the 215's and they are almost touching the front of the lower edge of the wheel opening when turned in. Probably the 3.5" back space is the cause.
