Man, I'm impressed!!!!! That's a LOT of work! It looks like you did it real good too. Gives me hope for when I get back on my Barracuda I have had for over 20 years. I love that car, but neglected to stop the cancer that rusted her down in so many places! Thanks for being an inspiration and shareing all this killer work we can see, and learn from. Looking forward to more progress and pictures!

Thanks! One thing at a time is all it takes. Quite a bit of satisfaction when you look back at your work. I've been busy making a support frame for under the car so I can replace floors. I will put some pictures up as soon as the floor is out.
Good luck on the Cuda! Looks like you have a good car to work with (I'm not afraid of rust anymore

Making great progress.

I was looking at how you got the door edge contours corrected earlier. Good trick I need to do also.

Your doing a great job. The fit of the rear qtr to door, every car must be unique...my AMD fit the door contour real well with very little fuss.
When I used the POR15 on bare metal, I rough sanded the metal with 50-80 grit, but the POr still would not stick very well. Ended up using 2-part etching primer then POR.

It's good to see all these old mopars getting rebuilt and distanced from the crusher.

I lived in Yakima in the mid 70"s. Spent 2 years at taking the YVCC auto tech program. How's the town doing these days?

I rough sanded then used metal etch. I've seen a lot of problems on this board with POR 15. I didn't have any problems at all.

A lot of the retail business in Yakima has moved to Union Gap, due to a more business friendly city government. There was a major downtown renovation project that took place in the last few years. Other than that it is probably relatively unchanged. Construction and Agriculture businesses not hit hard here by recession.... Yet!

Looking good, Mike! You're just a few steps ahead of me. OK, maybe more than a few but I'm not too far behind where you are. I'll be redoing the floor after I get the back end sheetmetal on.
